Terms of Use.
By downloading or using DaySense, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Service description
DaySense provides:
- Free private day-by-day tracking of mood, energy, sleep, notes, and related daily information
- Flexible check-in fields you choose from a range of optional trackers
- Review of your personal record over time through trends and history
- Optional profiles to adjust framing, context options, and review language
- Local record export and import
DaySense is a personal reflection and tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace professional care. See the full Disclaimer.
2. No account needed
DaySense does not require account sign-in for the current core app flow. Your wellness entries and preferences are stored locally on your device. No login, no password, and no server-side account is required.
3. Subscriptions
3.1 Freemium model
Core daily logging — mood, energy, sleep, and primary profile context — is free and does not require a subscription. Premium features require an active subscription.
3.2 Premium features
DaySense Premium unlocks extended review history (monthly, 3-month, and 6-month ranges), Apple Health imports, external imports, extra trackers, extra profile contexts, recurring appointments, and advanced record tools.
3.3 Billing
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase confirmation.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The renewal price matches your most recent subscription price. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
3.4 Management & cancellation
- Manage or cancel your subscription at any time: iOS Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then.
- No refunds are issued for unused portions of a subscription period.
3.5 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple, not through DaySense. All purchases are final unless Apple's refund policy applies.
3.6 Expiry
If subscription access expires, DaySense still allows you to export or delete your local record from your iPhone.
4. User responsibilities
By using DaySense, you agree to:
- Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws.
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
- Not exploit, misuse, or use the App in ways contrary to its intended purpose.
We may restrict your access to the App if you violate these Terms.
5. Age requirements
DaySense is intended for users aged 13 and over. By using the App, you confirm you are at least 13 years old. Parents and guardians are responsible for any use of the App by minors in their care.
6. Third-party services

DaySense does not sell your data. DaySense does not run advertising in the App.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The App will meet your specific requirements.
- The App will be available without interruption or error.
- The App will improve your mood, wellbeing, or health outcomes.
The information and records in DaySense are for personal reflection purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or clinical advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DaySense and its developer are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data or loss of productivity
- Any health, wellbeing, or life decisions based on data or records in the App
Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim giving rise to the liability.
9. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, name, and content, is owned by DaySense and its developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual property rights.
If access expires due to subscription lapse, the export and delete provisions of Section 3.6 still apply.
11. Changes to these terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will communicate material changes within the App. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
For users located in EU member states: you retain any rights you have under the applicable consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
13. Apple App Store terms
As required for apps distributed through the Apple App Store:
- These Terms of Use are a contract between you and DaySense. Apple is not a party to these Terms.
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or updates for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection or regulatory claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Your use of the App must comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
